About Chris Cuthbertson
Chris has over 30 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, spanning formulation development, analytical development and validation, quality, new product development, and international project management.
Chris began his career in an analytical testing laboratory, building a strong foundation in pharmaceutical analysis before moving into the pharmaceutical industry through QA/QC roles. This early experience developed deep expertise in GMP compliance, quality systems, and regulatory expectations. He later transitioned into New Product Development, where he led a small team responsible for formulation development and analytical method development and validation for generic medicines.
As part of his NPD career, Chris worked at Douglas Pharmaceuticals Fiji, playing a key role in establishing GMP systems for the facility while supporting the development of generic pharmaceutical projects. After moving into project management, he initially managed Fiji-based development programmes, coordinating technical delivery and regulatory readiness.
