About Joanne McDonald
Joanne McDonald leads Quality Assurance at Douglas, where she is responsible for the systems and standards that safeguard product quality across global markets. She oversees Douglas’ Quality Management System and compliance with international regulatory requirements, including GMP requirements enforced by agencies such as the FDA, TGA and Medsafe.
With more than 20 years’ experience in export-focused manufacturing, Joanne brings extensive expertise in regulatory inspections, client audits, multi-jurisdictional compliance and risk-based quality oversight. She works closely with operational and technical teams to maintain robust quality systems that support both regulatory compliance and commercial delivery.
Joanne is also focused on building a proactive quality culture that supports innovation and operational excellence while maintaining high standards of data integrity and patient safety.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Otago and a Master of Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Unitec.
