About Kent Durbin
Kent Durbin leads the fiscal strategy, capital planning, and financial governance that underpin Douglas Pharmaceuticals’ growth as a complex, capital-intensive manufacturing and export business.
A Chartered Accountant, Kent holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Auckland and a Postgraduate Certificate in Business from Massey University. He joined Douglas with significant international finance experience, having spent six years with EY - two of them in the United Kingdom as a Due Diligence Manager in Corporate Finance - before moving to THM Partners (UK) as a Senior Manager, where he advised company boards on restructuring strategies and negotiated outcomes between senior lenders, bondholders, and shareholders.
Kent began his career at Douglas as Group Financial Controller, progressing to Chief Financial Officer after eight years. He recently celebrated his 20th anniversary with the company.
Beyond Douglas, Kent has served on the Board of Trustees for Hospice West Auckland since 2021 and previously held the role of Treasurer for the North Harbour Rugby Referees Association.
Kent is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors.
